Sunflower Florist Blooms in Mooloolaba Outlet

Start-up business Sunflower Florist has opened new retail premises for its locally produced wares on the busy Mooloolaba tourist strip on the Sunshine Coast through Ray White Commercial North Coast Central.

Owner Katy Tomlinson has leased a 52 sqm ground floor shop at 12/34 River Esplanade, Mooloolaba, for the new venture in a deal negotiated by Ray White Commercial North Coast Central’s Emily Pendleton.

“Opening a florist shop has always been a dream of mine, and to bring it to a reality this soon in my career has just been so unreal,” Ms Tomlinson said.

“I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of help from my family and friends to get it all together in just over two weeks.  Every step so far has been crazy – I’ve never been so busy in my life, but it’s so exciting to be able to create a business which will benefit so many people in the local community.

“My giftware is locally made on the Sunshine Coast, and my fresh stock will also be sourced as locally as possible. My goal for my florist shop is for it to be highly sustainable both economically and environmentally, without any hefty price tags. I hope it is a store where everyone feels welcome and happy.”

Emily Pendleton said the property enjoys excellent exposure and offers great signage opportunities as well as ample onsite car parking.

“The new shop is in a great position near the Mooloolaba Esplanade retail precinct with Under Water World and the Mooloolaba Wharf only a stone’s throw away. It is also close to the Mooloolaba Surf Club.

“The property is surrounded by a large residential catchment area with major resorts and permanent residences close to the business.”

Sunflower Florist has taken out a 2 + 2 year lease at net rent of $19,760 per annum.
