Ray White Commercial wins Moreton Bay Council tender

The tender for the management of Moreton Bay Regional Council’s extensive property portfolio has been awarded, with Ray White Commercial Northern Corridor Group emerging victorious.

Sources indicate that close to twenty submissions were made for the tender that encompasses more than one hundred tenancies across the shire.

The portfolio is the definition of diversity, encompassing everything from six-star green rated office towers to historical villages, airport hangars and even Lakeside Raceway.

“We have really made a conscious effort to establish ourselves as the local area experts across the Northern Corridor in recent years, and it’s nice for the team to see that work recognised with this calibre of appointment,” said Ray White Commercial Northern Corridor Group Director Chris Massie.

Since acquiring the Ray White Pine Rivers office in 2018, the Northern Corridor Group has quickly grown to a staff of forty across four offices.  But rapid population growth and key projects has Mr Massie and Senior Analyst Ashley Rees predicting more help will be needed.

“If you pull out a map and draw a circle from North Brisbane to Caloundra you’ll have captured one of the most significant growth corridors in Australia.,” Mr Rees said.

“Caboolture West, Stockland’s Aura community, North Harbour, Corporate Park East – these are national calibre developments. Add the major infrastructure projects already underway, and it’s little wonder attention is quickly shifting north.”

Moreton Bay Region has experienced the third fastest growth of any region in the country and is projected to increase its population by 240,000 by 2041, to approximately 690,000. This represents more than a 50 per cent increase over the next 25 years.

“The new Moreton Bay council seems focused on achieving the right balance that facilitates business growth, but not at the expense of the lifestyle that draws people here in the first place,” said Michael Shadforth, Principal of Ray White Commercial Northern Corridor Group’s Sunshine Coast Office.
