Queensland Music Award Nominations for Doolie Shadforth

Ray White Commercial North Coast Central Managing Director Michael Shadforth’s daughter Doolie has been nominated for two honours at the 2016 Queensland Music Awards.

The emerging young Sunshine Coast songwriter and alternative pop artist said: “I’m super excited to have been nominated for the QMA’s in two categories. It’s a great start to my year and now I can really see it heading in the direction I want it to.”

Gaining popularity while catching the attention of a host of music industry professionals in Australia and abroad, Doolie’s strong lilting vocals and modern percussive driven sound is a refreshing entry into the current music scene.

Putting a lot of focus in the last three years into live performances, Doolie has a song release marked for late 2016 and shares her nominations with other impressive artists known on the Sunshine Coast including Bearfoot, Ayla, The Brains Trust, Paul Cowderoy and Sahara Beck.

Building a career whilst a challenge, is a top priority for Doolie as she draws inspiration from established musicians like Banks, Vera Blue, Airling, George Maple and Flume to name a few.

The nomination for ‘Most Promising Female Songwriter’ in the Queensland Music Awards is not only an honour for Doolie, but an indication of her talent and dedication to her passion, as these nominations are generally reserved as a benchmark for musicians who have a more established profile.
