Oxygen Pilates has snapped up a new studio at Maroochydore as health and wellbeing businesses continue to expand on the Sunshine Coast.
In what will be its second Sunshine Coast studio with a business also operating in Nambour, Oxygen Pilates has leased a 255 sqm tenancy at 4/27 Evans Street, Maroochydore, in a deal negotiated by Emily Pendleton of Ray White Commercial North Coast Central.
Emily Pendleton said this retail area on the ground floor of the Plaza Business Centre was on the market for more than 12 months during the Evans St road upgrade.
“Once the road works were almost completed enquiry for this property has lifted, with the Pilates studio securing 255 sqm of the 1041 sqm showroom,” she said.
“We are seeing health and wellbeing businesses expanding on the Sunshine Coast and we are still getting a lot of enquiry from indoor recreational tenants.
“Maroochydore commercial enquiry has certainly picked up since the federal election. The tenancy for Oxygen Pilates is one of the many ground floor retail spaces leased in Maroochydore in the last eight weeks.”
Oxygen Pilates has taken out a 4 + 2 + 2 year lease at net rental of $39,960 per annum, or $180 per sqm.
“Retail from $180 per sqm on the Sunshine Coast is unheard of, so prospective lessees should act quickly before the prices jump up with the new CBD development,” Emily Pendleton said.
